Glass Fiber Chopped Strand Mat, also known as glass fiber short-cut strand mat, is a non-woven mat product manufactured from chopped strands of glass fibers. The production process involves cutting continuous glass fiber yarns or rovings into short segments, typically 50mm lengths, and then randomly distributing and bonding them together with binder agents such as polyester powder or emulsion. This material exhibits several notable characteristics, including uniform weight per area, cleanliness with minimal dirt or impurities, moderate hardness and flexibility, ease of complete impregnation with minimal air bubbles, excellent moldability and conformability for complex shapes, as well as good mechanical and chemical properties. Glass Fiber Chopped Strand Mat is packaged in rolls around a paper tube with a diameter of 76mm, wrapped in polyethylene plastic bags, and further enclosed in cartons to ensure its performance and cleanliness during transportation and storage.
