Strand Mat Glass Fiber, commonly referred to as CSM (Chopped Strand Mat), is a non-woven mat product made from chopped strands of glass fibers. These glass fibers are cut into lengths of approximately 50 millimeters and then randomly distributed, bonded together using polyester powder or polyester emulsion binders. The material is characterized by its uniform mass per unit area, absence of stains or impurities, moderate hardness with good flexibility, ease of complete impregnation, minimal bubbles in the finished product, good processability, as well as excellent mold-filling and mold-covering properties, making it suitable for the molding of complex-shaped articles.
