Silica Fiber Glass Needle Mat is a non-binder thermal insulation material made from high-purity silica (SiO₂) glass fibers through a needling process. It consists primarily of multiple layers of combed and laid fiber mats, interspersed with vertical staple fibers created by needling that interconnect with the fibers of the multilayer fiber mats. The fibers are typically cut into a filamentary form with a three-dimensional microporous structure, containing a large number of fixed voids.
Silica Fiber Glass Needle Mat boasts excellent high-temperature resistance, withstanding temperatures up to 1000°C. Its fiber content of over 96% SiO₂ ensures stability and reliability in high-temperature environments. Furthermore, the use of a mechanical needling process eliminates the need for additional binders, ensuring efficient thermal insulation and superior sound absorption properties.
This material typically ranges in thickness from 3mm to 25mm, with densities varying from 100kg/m³ to 220kg/m³, allowing for customization based on specific requirements. With its unique structure and properties, Silica Fiber Glass Needle Mat has potential applications in various fields.
